This Privacy Policy explains how Live Currency Converter (“the Extension”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the Chrome extension and related services operated by VyshWave (vyshwave@gmail.com).

1. What the Extension does

Live Currency Converter converts prices you see on websites into your chosen currency. Conversions can happen when you select a price or when optional auto-convert is enabled on a page.

2. Information we collect

  • Email address — to send a magic-link sign-in email and associate your account.
  • Account / session data — tokens stored in the extension so you stay signed in and we can check Pro status.
  • Plan / entitlement status — whether Pro features are unlocked for your account.
  • Local preferences — target currency, auto-convert/highlight settings, and Free-plan usage counters stored in chrome.storage.local on your device.
  • Website content (on-device) — the Extension reads price-like text on the current page only to perform conversions in your browser.

We do not collect government ID numbers, precise GPS location, browsing history lists, keystrokes, or medical data.

3. Payments and Pro access

When paid checkout is enabled, Pro subscriptions are processed by Paddle as Merchant of Record. Card numbers and full payment credentials are handled by Paddle, not stored by us. We receive subscription and customer identifiers needed to unlock Pro features.

Current status: Paddle checkout is temporarily unavailable. During this period, signing in with a magic link may unlock Pro features without a card charge (complimentary access while billing is offline). No payment details are collected for that access. When paid checkout returns, new paid subscriptions will again be processed by Paddle under our Terms and Refund Policy.

4. How we use information

  • Authenticate you and maintain your session
  • Provide and sync Pro entitlements
  • Fetch public exchange-rate data to power conversions
  • Operate, secure, and improve core Extension features
  • Respond to support requests you send us

5. Network requests

The Extension may contact:

  • https://api.vyshwave.com — authentication and entitlements (and billing when checkout is enabled)
  • Public exchange-rate JSON APIs (for example jsDelivr / Fawaz currency API, open.er-api.com, Frankfurter) — rate data only
  • Paddle checkout / customer portal pages — only when paid upgrade or subscription management is available and you choose to use it

Page content used for conversion is processed locally. We do not upload full web pages to our servers for advertising or resale.

6. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers needed to run the product (for example email delivery for magic links, hosting for our API, and Paddle when paid checkout is used), or when required by law.

7. Retention

Account and entitlement records are kept while your account is active and as needed for security and legal obligations (and billing records when paid subscriptions exist). Local extension storage remains on your device until you clear it or uninstall the Extension.

8. Your choices

  • You can sign out from the Extension popup
  • You can uninstall the Extension to remove local data stored by it
  • When paid subscriptions are active, you can manage or cancel them through the in-extension portal (Paddle)
  • For account deletion or privacy requests, email vyshwave@gmail.com

9. Children

The Extension is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

10. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Extension after an update means you accept the revised policy.
